The 2021 ACT Relay Championships are being held at Stromlo on Saturday 30 January.
Warm up: 9:00am ... as there are over 200 swimmers competing in the relays please allow plenty of time for your swimmer to enter the pool.
Due to limitations imposed under the current COVID 19 restrictions prevailing in the ACT the Championships will be run as a closed meet. This means that spectators are excluded from attending the meet. The following individuals will be permitted in the pool area:
- Competitors
- Officials
- Coaches
- Team Managers
- Approved carers
The list of people allowed to enter the pool area for the Relays will be provided to the Reception Desk. If you are not on one of the lists provided to the pool staff you are not to enter the pool area.
Team Managers, appointed by the competing clubs, will care for the swimmers whilst they are participating in meet.
Carer Exemption: If your swimmer has a medical condition that requires a carer to be present during the meet you can seek a carers' exemption by contacting Lorraine Wuth (lwuth@hups.net) stating the reason and the name of the nominated carer. Approved carers will be added to access lists.
The Swimming ACT COVID-19 Return to Competition Safety Plan has been updated to reflect the current status. Here is a link to the document.
Additional Officials Required
We need an additional eleven (11) timekeepers and two people to distribute snacks to officials. Please email Lorraine Wuth (lwuth@hups.net) if you are able to assist.
Marshalling
Assisted self marshalling is being used at this meet.
There will be a Clerk of Course to assist. Relay teams are responsible for marshalling two (2) races (heats) ahead of the heat currently in the water.
