ACT Championships

Date of event: Saturday January 30, 2021 1:00PM

The 2021 ACT Championships are being held at Stromlo on Saturday 30 January (following the Relay Champs) and Sunday 31 January.

The Championships are open to all swimmers registered with their primary entity club affiliated with Swimming ACT.

Age as at 30 January 2021.

Due to limitations imposed under the current COVID 19 restrictions prevailing in the ACT the Championships will be run as a closed meet. This means that spectators are excluded from attending the meet. The following individuals will be permitted in the pool area:

  • Competitors
  • Officials
  • Coaches
  • Team Managers
  • Approved carers

The list of people allowed to enter the pool area for  given session will be provided to the Reception Desk. If you are not on one of the lists provided to the pool staff you are not to enter the pool area.

Team Managers, appointed by the competing clubs, will care for the swimmers whilst they are participating in meet.

Carer Exemption: If your swimmer has a medical condition that requires a carer to be present during the meet you can seek a carers' exemption by contacting Lorraine Wuth (lwuth@hups.net) stating the reason and the name of the nominated carer. Approved carers will be added to access lists.

The Swimming ACT COVID-19 Return to Competition Safety Plan has been updated to reflect the current status. Here is a link to the document.

Seeded program (by event) and entry list for Saturday

Seeded program (by event) and entry list for Sunday

Please print relevant pages of these documents for your swimmer(s) as there will be no printed programs for sale at the Championships.

Why are some events missing?

Multi-Class swimmers have been seeded into equivalent standard events due to the small number of entries in Multi-Class events. The MC events are not shown on the timeline nor in the seeded programs and entry lists. MC events will still be resulted separately.

Marshalling

Assisted self marshalling is being used at this meet. There will be a Clerk of Course to assist. Swimmers are responsible for marshalling three (3) races (heats) ahead of the heat currently in the water.
